How do I edit my campaign title?

  1. Log in to your CrowdRise account and select the campaign you want to customize
  2. Head to your DASHBOARD then click EDIT
  3. At the top you’ll find the “Title” box which will allow you to enter a title of up to 100 characters
  4. Click the orange “Save” button to commit your changes

Note that your original campaign title will dictate your URL. Updating your title will not affect your URL (a.k.a. web address or link). If you would like to edit that you can do so separately.

Note: If you are not the organizer of the fundraiser, you won't be able to change the title of your team member page.

How do I upload pictures to my campaign?

  1. Log in to your CrowdRise account and select the campaign you want to customize
  2. Head to your DASHBOARD then click EDIT in the left navigation bar
  3. Scroll down to the "Upload Pics and Videos" header and click the green "Add Photo" thumbnail
  4. Click "Choose" to browse your computer and select your photo, or drag and drop one from your desktop
  5. Use our photo uploader thingy to crop it into a rectangle

You can upload up to 10 pictures. You can also drag the photos around to put them in the order you'd like to see them appear in your slideshow.

If you decide you want to delete any of them, just click the little X in the upper left of each pic.

If you're experiencing anything strange while uploading your pics, check out this Troubleshooting Article for tips.

How do I add a video to my campaign?

Videos are incredibly powerful when they are relatively short (most people can't watch for more than 25 seconds). Creating a personal video will help you raise more money.

  1. First, upload your video onto YouTube or Vimeo
  2. Log in to your CrowdRise account and navigate to the campaign you want to customize
  3. Head to your DASHBOARD then click EDIT in the left navigation bar
  4. Then scroll to the UPLOAD PICS AND VIDEOS section where you'll see a field that says “Add a YouTube or Vimeo link”
  5. Copy and paste the YouTube or Vimeo share URL (web address) into the box below
  6. Then hit the orange “Save” button further below and your video will magically appear on your fundraising page

If you complete these steps and the video doesn't appear or an error message pops up, head back to YouTube or Vimeo and make sure your video settings are set to “Public” and “Embeddable” so they can be shared with CrowdRise and your supporters.

How do I update my goal?

Super easy. Here are some quick steps...

  1. Log in to your CrowdRise account then head to to the campaign you want to customize
  2. Head to your DASHBOARD then click EDIT in the left navigation bar
  3. Locate the CAMPAIGN GOAL field, set your target amount, SAVE and you'll be good to go

There are no goal requirements and no deadlines when you use CrowdRise for your fundraising.

Setting a goal is a great idea and we do recommend it. It's great to have a target to talk about with your supporters. You can always edit your goal if you reach it or if it feels too lofty.

A goal gives you a chance to reach out and your supporters know when you hit milestones, how close you are, and we have definitely found that communicating with your supporters regularly leads to more momentum and more repeat donors.

With all that being said, if you do set a goal and don't hit it, you still keep all the money you raised. For real.

How do I update my story?

  1. Log in to your CrowdRise account then head to the campaign you want to customize
  2. Head to your DASHBOARD then click EDIT in the left navigation bar
  3. Scroll down to the “Campaign Story” section where you'll be able to update your story using the rich text editor
  4. When everything is perfect be sure to click on the "Save" button below to make everything official

The best campaign stories are concise, compelling, and explain why you’re passionate about the cause. If you can explain where the donations will go and how they will help, that can really motivate people to give. People want to feel like they’re making an impact by getting involved.

Can I change the benefiting charity?

Once a campaign has raised funds, the benefiting charity cannot be changed. If you’re still setting everything up and no money has been raised yet you still have time to switch the charity who is set to receive the funds. Here’s how…

  1. Log in to your CrowdRise account then head to the campaign you want to customize
  2. Head to your DASHBOARD then click EDIT in the left navigation bar
  3. Scroll down to the “Benefiting charity” section and you’ll see your current charity listed
  4. If no funds have been raised yet, you’ll see a “Change charity” link underneath the current charity - go ahead and click that
  5. On the next screen, you can search for your desired charity by name or tax ID number
  6. Once you find the correct charity, select them from the dropdown list and you’ll be good to go

Can I edit my theme colors after I set them up initially?

You sure can. Here’s how…

  2. Head to your DASHBOARD then click EDIT in the left navigation bar
  3. Scroll down to the “Campaign Theme” section
  4. Click the color you would like to adjust, then click the new color from the menu that appears or enter your custom “hex color” into the box in the lower right corner
  5. Alternately, you can click Reset to restore your campaign to the default color settings

What happens when I click the "Advanced settings" link at the bottom of the page?

In here you can control the following settings:

  • If you want to allow others to join your campaign to help you fundraise or not
  • If you want the folks who join you to enter offline donations or not
  • If you want the donation amounts to be visible to the public or not
  • You can customize the note that's attached to the receipts your donors receive via email
  • You can edit the URL of your campaign (note: if you have already shared your campaign with your supporters, that link will no longer work once it is updated)
  • You can set a specific date to end your campaign so your DONATE button will disappear and stop receiving donations
  • And you can connect your campaign to Eventbrite if you would like to take advantage of their registration and ticketing services

How do I edit my campaign URL?
