An Event is a collection of fundraising teams. Create an Event for one cause or a bunch of causes.
Examples of events are the TCS New York City Marathon and the UTA Big Bowl event. If you're the Event organizer (that means you're in charge of managing the entire event on CrowdRise), you'll want to create an event page where individuals and teams can either join your existing teams or create their own. It's totally up to you.

Once the Event page has been created, your fundraisers can create teams through the SET UP YOUR FUNDRAISER button. You can also use this button to pre-populate teams that your supporters can join.
How do I make sure all teams on my event benefit the same nonprofit?
By default, your supporters will be able to set up their fundraisers to benefit a charity of their choice. Here's how to ensure all fundraisers are required to benefit the charity of your choice:
1. Log in to CrowdRise
2. Head to the event page
3. Click the EDIT EVENT tab then scroll down to ADVANCED SETTINGS
4. Locate the REQUIRE ALL TEAMS TO BENEFIT THE SAME CHARITY setting, and click the checkbox, then select your desired nonprofit
