On November 7th, we're launching GoFundMe Charity™, a new fundraising suite for nonprofits, and the Donate Button by GoFundMe, an easy way to accept donations anywhere online. GoFundMe Charity™ will give charities of all sizes access to enterprise-level fundraising software and new features, powered by the social fundraising expertise of GoFundMe. Beginning in November, the new products will be available to millions of nonprofits.

What happens to my CrowdRise account?
For now, it’s business as usual. You’ll continue to sign in to your account using the same username and password, and receive the support and access to the tools and features you rely on. Starting in November, you will have access to all of the new offerings from GoFundMe Charity™ and we will seamlessly move you over to the new product without any effort on your end. All your historical campaign and account information will be waiting for you. Consider this a little gift.
What happens to my current CrowdRise URL?
You don’t have to worry about people finding your campaign. We will redirect all links on www.crowdrise.com to our new GoFundMe Charity™ domain. For example, if your campaign’s URL is currently “www.crowdrise.com/yellow,” you can still type that into the search bar and you will be automatically redirected to “charity.gofundme.com/yellow.”
No action is required on your part within the product and all campaigns will continue running as usual. Existing links will redirect. Please make sure to proactively update your whitelist if your organization has a whitelist of domains that you keep updated.
Will there be any changes for my donors and fundraisers?
Aside from re-branding and URL redirects, both the donor and fundraiser experience will be identical to what it was before. All fundraisers, team members, and donors will be able to log into their accounts the same way they always have. In November, you will have access to all the new GoFundMe Charity™ tools and features.
How does this affect my pricing?
Starting in November, charities will have access to all of the new offerings from GoFundMe Charity™ including no subscriptions, no paywalls, no add-on fees and a choice between our “No Platform Fee” Model and Flexible Pricing Plans. Nonprofits can save more than just their subscription fees. As an industry first, GoFundMe Charity™ also offers its customers two transaction-based pricing plans: either a guaranteed 0% platform fee with an option for donors to leave a voluntary “tip” for GoFundMe’s services and support, or a flexible option with donor-covered fees.
Will there be any downtime on the site when the change happens?
We want to make this as seamless as possible with zero downtime. We’ll flip the switch in November, so any visits to www.crowdrise.com after that time will be redirected to charity.gofundme.com. All functionality will be the same, but you’ll notice a new look and feel right away. And you’ll have access to all of the new offerings from GoFundMe Charity™ including no subscriptions, no paywalls, and a choice between our “No Platform Fee” Model and Flexible Pricing Plans.
What changes should we expect in the future?
We’re always looking at ways to make the experience better. Our goal is to make fundraising easier, faster and more effective for you. New tools to help you raise more money. A new and sleek website layout, including a new brand name, logo and color theme. The ability to customize and tailor your pages and email to match your charity’s brand. The ability to make the changes you need within your own account. Other than that, all functionality remains the same.
